This "Netherworld of the Force" is clearly not beyond communication with the physical world either, only so far the only depictions we have seen have been one way, but we've already seen Yoda telling Obi-Wan about a way for him to commune with Qui-Gon Jinn in ROTS. The Dark Side isn't without its notable effects on the physical world either, like the corruption that can be found on Sith Worlds like Korriban and Malachor where the Ghosts of long dead Sith reside and brood.
Revisiting this scene just because I could (and it's the best scene in the whole movie), it suddenly struck me about how little we know about this "Force afterlife", but it seems way more connected to the physical world than Heaven and Hell are to ours, as you can see when Yoda literally calls Lightning from the sky to burn the tree down in the scene above, and when Obi-Wan helps Luke destroy the Death Star. For all of the relentless hate that TLJ receives, even the most frothing at the mouth lunatic Star Wars fan can't resist a scene where a fan favorite character returns from the dead to make a cameo, such as Yoda's appearance to Luke in Last Jedi:
